PIERRE, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – South Dakota reported two more COVID-related deaths and the active number of infections rose by 14 according to information released by the Department of Health today.
The deaths involved a resident from Butte County and one from Pennington County. The state has now had 111 total deaths.
South Dakota’s 80 new confirmed cases, along with 64 new recoveries, pushed the active cases to 878 (there with 864 one week ago). The state has had 7,652 total confirmed cases, 6,663 recoveries, and 85,891 negative tests. Current hospitalizations dropped by three to 59.
Locally, Brown County reported one new active case and one new recovery, leaving active cases at 20. The county has had 362 confirmed cases, 340 recoveries, 3,514 negative tests and two deaths.
Minnehaha County has had 3,796 confirmed cases, followed by Pennington County with 674, Beadle County with 557, and Lincoln County with 404.
