State investigating possible re-infection cases

PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – As COVID-19 cases surge in South Dakota, there are some suspected cases of re-infection.

State Epidemiologist Dr. Josh Clayton says they are investigating.

Clayton says they are still getting guidance on possible reinfections from the CDC.

Clayton says they are working with outstate labs to confirm the possible reinfections.

The state is now reporting almost 12,000 active cases of COVID-19.
