PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- State officials are still working through the details of the infrastructure bill passed by Congress earlier this month.
South Dakota Department of Transportation Secretary Joel Jundt says there will be an overall increase in federal highway dollars.
Jundt told the Transportation Commission last week the state should see a significant increase in funding.
Jundt says in the past they have spread some of those extra dollars out to local governments.
Jundt says the current federal funding formula runs out at the end of this month and has to be renewed by Congress.
