State reports four new COVID-19 related deaths

PIERRE, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The state reported four new COVID-19 related deaths today in numbers released by the Department of Health. Those deaths, which included residents of Beadle, Buffalo, Lyman and Pennington counties, bring the overall total to 97 deaths.

South Dakota also reported 67 new cases to go along with 49 new recoveries, leaving the active cases at 814 (there were 800 a week ago). The state also reported 931 new negative tests and has 64 current hospitalizations.

In Brown County, there were two new cases and four new recoveries, lowering the active cases to 20. There were also 55 new negative tests. Of the 170 cases connected to the DemKota Ranch Beef plant, there have been 166 recoveries. The county has had two deaths.

Other county totals include Minnehaha with 3,638 confirmed cases, Pennington with 536, Beadle with 532, Lincoln with 352 and Union with 126.
