PIERRE, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – South Dakota had its highest one-day total of negative tests since COVID-19 testing began the numbers showed today.
The state reported 3,876 new negative tests to run its overall total to 47,376. There were 87 new confirmed cases to along with 79 new recoveries, leaving the state’s active cases at 1,020. There were also two new deaths reported, one in Minnehaha County and one in Pennington County.
South Dakota has had 5,247 total confirmed cases with 4,163 recoveries.
The number of active cases in Brown County remained at 62 after there were four new confirmed cases and four new recoveries reported. So far the county has had 290 confirmed cases, 227 recoveries and 1,695 negative tests. The county has had one death.
In cases connected to the DemKota Ranch Beef Plant, 137 of the 163 confirmed cases have recovered.
Statewide, Minnehaha County has had 3,385 confirmed cases. Beadle County reported 33 new cases today and now has the second most in the state with 341. Pennington has had 275 confirmed cases and Lincoln 243.
