State’s active cases of COVID-19 drop by 31

PIERRE, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The South Dakota Department of Health reported 35 new cases of COVID-19 today to go along with 66 new recoveries, lowering the state’s active cases to 807 (there were 809 a week ago).

The state also reported 529 new negative tests moving that total to 72,741 overall. South Dakota has had 6,716 confirmed cases with 5,818 recoveries. The death total remained at 91 and there are currently 70 hospitalizations.

Locally, there was one new case in Brown County bringing the overall total to 342. There have also been 320 recoveries, leaving the active cases at 22. Of the 170 cases associated with DemKota Ranch Beef, there have been 165 recoveries.

Minnehaha County has reached 3,600 confirmed cases, followed by Beadle with 523, and Pennington with 513. Lincoln County has had 341 confirmed cases.
