ABERDEEN, S.D. (Press Release) – Northern Electric Cooperative crews along with line crews from FEM Electric Association headed out Friday morning with the goal of restoring power to all affected members by tonight (Friday 3/15). Seven linemen from FEM Electric Association from Ipswich are assisting with the restoration efforts in both Brown and Spink counties. There are still 154 members without power (107 in Spink County and 47 in Brown County). Northern Electric would like to thank all affected members for their continued patience. Northern Electric would also like to thank the farmers, landowners, and co-op members who have assisted crews by clearing roads with tractors and heavy equipment so they can restore power.
We are asking anyone who encounters downed power lines or damaged electrical equipment to PLEASE STAY AWAY and call 1-800-529-0310 immediately to report any damage or outages.
