Storms hit central part of the state this week

PIERRE, S.D.(DRGNews)- Scattered storms came through the central part of South Dakota Sunday night into Monday and again Monday night into Tuesday.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Megan Mulford says rainfall amounts the Pierre/Fort Pierre area have varied.

Mulford says in June and July, the Pierre/Fort Pierre area received an above average amount of rain.

Mulford says rainfall amounts in other parts of the state so far this week have also varied.

 

 

High temperatures for the rest of the week are currently forecast to be in the upper 80s to upper 90s.
