ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The 14th Annual Storybook Land Festival takes place on Friday and Saturday, July 19-20.

Activities start on Friday evening and will feature a variety of events including appearances by Wizard of Oz characters and performances by jugglers. David Eckert, Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center (ARCC) Supervisor, said that this year’s festival will also offer something new.

Saturday’s schedule starts at 10 a.m. and is packed with everything from a theater performance to more appearances from the Oz characters to an ice cream social that starts at 4:30 p.m.

The festival concludes Saturday night with that fire performance and a showing of The Wizard of Oz at dusk.

Eckert explained that some type of festival has been around for nearly 40 years.
