PIERRE, S.D. (KCCR) – Hughes County Auditor Jane Naylor is expecting a 70 to 75-percent voter turn-out for the upcoming General Election. Over 2,200 absentee ballots have been turned in to the Hughes County Auditor’s Office and Naylor says those wanting to use the mail to vote absentee need to get to it.
Naylor says voters need to get absentee ballots to the Hughes County Courthouse by Nov. 3, Election Day.
Naylor says the Pierre Post Office works very well making sure votes get where they need to be.
Hours for absentee voting in person at the Hughes County Courthouse are eight am to five pm and Naylor encourages all in-person absentee voters to follow appropriate social distancing protocols.
