YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- A group of students got recognition certificates on Friday in Yankton for taking part in two-week courses in certified nurse assistant training and manufacturing technology.

State Education Department Secretary Tiffany Sanderson talked to the students and said these are great experiences.

Sanderson says the hands on experience helps expand classroom training.

Sanderson says there is cooperation between the Yankton School District and local employers.

The CNA training is sponsored by Avera Sacred Heart Hospital and the Yankton Manufacturing and Entrepreneurial Association sponsors the technical workshop.
