STURGIS, S.D. (KBHB) – The Sturgis Economic Development Corporation says 2019 was a good year, and they are hoping for a better 2020.
S.E.D.C.’s Amanda Anglin provided the Sturgis Council a yearly recap Tuesday night.
Anglin says 64 new jobs were created last year.
SEDC also issued $489,000 in loans to businesses and entertained 13 retention and expansion visits.
Anglin also says health care improved.
Sturgis also issued $19,679 in construction permits in 2019.
Anglin says in the future, they would like to establish a retail committee to help those interested in starting a business here.
