Summer study group looking into juvenile justice

YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Summer interim committees of the South Dakota legislature will start meeting next month.

One of those groups will be studying juvenile justice reform.

Representative Mike Stevens of Yankton will be a member of that committee.

Stevens says juvenile justice issues impact a wide segment.

Stevens says they will be working closely with schools and local governments.

This study will work closely with one looking at the corrections system.
