YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- The “Study Committee on County Funding and Services” of the South Dakota legislature will hold its first meeting of the interim on June 14th.

Yankton County Commissioner Dan Klimisch says he has been working with legislators and county officials on the issues they are facing.

As the committee was formed, legislative leaders said it wasn’t about new money for counties. Klimisch says its more about mandates than spending efficiency.
