YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Summit Carbon solutions say they have reached agreements with over fifty percent of the landowners in South Dakota needed for their liquid carbon dioxide pipeline.
Chief Operating Officer Jimmy Powell says they continue to negotiate with landowners on the remaining route and hope to avoid using eminent domain.
Powell says there may be some gaps in the final route they need.
Powell says they give lots of notice to landowners as they do their surveys.
Summit Carbon Solutions wants to build the pipeline to carry the liquid CO2 from thirty-two ethanol plants in the region to underground storage in central North Dakota.
