YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Summit Carbon Solutions is planning to build thousands of miles of underground pipe to transport liquid carbon dioxide from ethanol plants in the region to underground storage in central North Dakota.
Summit C.E.O. Lee Blank says they have their route in South Dakota generally laid out.
Blank says they are still working out land surveys and easements with owners.
Blank says they have about half of the easements they need.
Summit Carbon Solutions filed their formal application with the Public Utilities Commission last week. The PUC will set a series of public hearings along the proposed route.
