YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Several bills dealing with underground pipelines and the use of eminent domain are circulating in the South Dakota legislature.
Jessie Harris with Summit Carbon Solutions says they are staying active in Pierre and out on their proposed pipeline route.
Summit Carbon Solutions is one of two companies applying to build pipelines to carry liquid carbon dioxide from ethanol plants in the region to underground storage in central North Dakota.
Harris says they staying in touch with all levels of government.
Harris says a recent report from Iowa ethanol producers show how critical these pipelines are.
The PUC will hold hearings on the Summit Carbon application in September.
