Superintendent of the Rapid City Catholic School System anounces her retirement

RAPID CITY, S.D.(KOTA)- Barb Honeycutt, who has served as the superintendent of the Rapid City Catholic School System for the last 15 years, has announced her retirement following an education career spanning five decades.

Honeycutt said looking back, her time with the RCCSS never felt like a job.

Honeycutt was instrumental in buying the St. Martins property in South Rapid, which allowed for a major expansion of the RCCSS footprint.

Honeycutt said with the picture wrap on her career, there is still much to look forward to, including a long awaited trip to Green Bay.

Honeycutt’s retirement will become effective June 30th, 2022. A nationwide search is underway to find her replacement.
