SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (WNAX) – A task force has been formed to study higher education in South Dakota. The SB55 Task Force held their first meeting earlier this month in Rapid City.
Member, Senator Reynold Nesiba of Sioux Falls, says they started with a history lesson of past studies of the higher education system.
Nesiba says he got a sense of a shared goal.
Nesiba says he was assigned to one of the three sub-committees.
The other sub committees will study administration, and infrastructure and ancillary services.
Under terms of the sponsoring legislation, SB55, the task force is to deliver their report to the legislature by mid-November of next year.
