REVA, S.D. (Press Release) – A 17-year-old male from Reva has been identified as the person who died last Wednesday in a one-vehicle crash near Reva.

A 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup was westbound on Sorum Road, east of the intersection with South Dakota Highway 79, when the driver, Jaxon Klempel, lost control. The vehicle eventually tipped over and rolled.

The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only person involved.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.

The Highway Patrol is part of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
