SOUTH DAKOTA(Press Release)-National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) is officially underway across the country as of April 21st. NCVRW is a national observance that aims to amplify the voices of survivors and commit to creating an environment where survivors have the confidence that they will be heard and supported.
“National Crime Victims’ Rights Week is a celebration of the strides we’ve taken in South Dakota and across the country to support victims of crime,” said Marsy’s Law for South Dakota spokesperson Justin Giorgio. “From its first passage in 2016 to now, Marsy’s Law has given countless survivors a voice in the criminal justice process. This week, we join the Department of Justice in a call to action: how would YOU help victims of crime?”
The Arc of Dreams in Sioux Falls will be lit purple throughout this week in observance of NCVRW. Any media interested in covering the Arc of Dreams lighting or speaking to victims’ rights advocates for stories throughout the week, please contact Justin Giorgio, jg@k2andcompany.com, for more information.
