PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- South Dakota legislators are off until Tuesday, but will come back to a busy week.
Senate Majority Leader Gary Cammack of Union Center says they will have lots to do.
Cammack says the Senate still has quite a few bills to clear out.
Representative Mike Stevens of Yankton says they hit crossover day on Wednesday.
Stevens says most committees have been putting in extra hours.
Stevens says there will also be a number of spending bills circulating.
The House Select Committee on Investigation, which Stevens is a member, will also meet this week.
District 24 Senator Mary Duvall says last week wasn’t a cakewalk either.
Duvall says the calendar of bills for the Senate floor Tuesday is three pages long.
District 24 Representative Will Mortenson says 16 bills are the calendar for the House.
Tuesday will be day twenty six of the thirty seven day main run of the legislature.
Three weeks remain in the 97th Session’s main run. At least one bill awaits Veto Day, the final day of the 38-day session on March 28th.
