Three Wolves Added To All-NSIC Team (SB)

Burnsville, MN (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference released the 2024 All-Conference softball teams this afternoon with three Northern State Wolves honored. The trio of Lexi ChaseAvarie Eagle, and Ashley Fauske landed on the second team. This spring marks the most NSIC All-Conference nods for the Wolves since the three honorees in the spring of 2018.

Chase started 19 games in the regular season in the circle with 21 total appearances. She is 10-9 heading into the postseason with a 2.89 ERA, 15 complete games, two shutouts, 128.1 innings pitched, 112 strikeouts, and a .250 opponent batting average. Offensively, the senior is second on the team hitting .364 with 43 hits, including eight doubles, three triples, and one homerun, 22 runs scored, and 20 RBI. On the field, Chase holds a .984 fielding percentage with 38 putouts and 25 assists. She holds a .445 on-base percentage and .508 slugging percentage. In NSIC contests, she ranks in the top-10 in wins, starts, complete games, innings, strikeouts, and opponent batting average. The 2024 season marks the first NSIC All-Conference honors of her career.

Eagle appeared in 34 games this season, making 30 starts. She holds a .372 average through those contests with 35 hits, including eight doubles, one triple, and four homeruns. The junior added 24 runs batted in and 13 runs scored. She leads the Wolves offense with a .606 slugging percentage and adds a .430 on-base percentage. This is the first NSIC All-Conference honor of her career.

Fauske sits atop the Northern State starters offensively, starting 46 of 47 games played. She holds a .369 season average with a team high 59 hits, including six doubles and three homeruns. The senior leads the team with 42 runs scored and adds 18 runs batted in. She holds a .449 on-base percentage and .444 slugging percentage. On the field, Fauske tallied 47 putouts and three assists in the regular season with six errors. Against NSIC opponents, she ranks in the top-25 in average and top-10 in runs scored and hits. This spring marks the first NSIC All-Conference award of her career.
