WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – Negotiations continue in Congress on a near two trillion-dollar economic rescue plan. Debate got heated at times yesterday as Democrats blocked procedural votes.
South Dakota Senator John Thune defended the business bailout plan.
Thune says the bill that Democrats rejected came from a bi-partisan agreement.
Thune told Senators they are wasting time.
Both sides met late last night and are predicting an agreement sometime today.
