WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – Following weeks of talks in Washington there is some hope that a deal could be found for the next economic stimulus package.
South Dakota Senator John Thune says he is hearing more optimism.
Thune says getting past the election could help focus the future talks.
Thune says they need to work on the issues they agree on.
Both democrats and the White House are now talking about the $900-billion proposal. Senate republicans have been reluctant to sign on so far.
