Thune hears plenty of frustration among South Dakotans

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – Senators are back in Washington this week following the August break, with a number of big issues to contend with.

South Dakota Senator John Thune says he heard plenty of frustration during the break.

Thune says election year politics are also playing into any progress they may make.

An economic stimulus bill is still stuck between the House and Senate. An extension of the federal budget also has to be decided before the end of the month. The House will return to Washington next week.
