WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – The U.S. Senate passed a $100 billion rescue plan and started talks on another that could top $1 trillion.
South Dakota Senator John Thune outlined some of what in contained in the bill.
Thune says they are negotiating on the massive recovery bill.
That bill could include direct payments to taxpayers.
Thune says their focus is on the virus outbreak and the economy.
The trillion dollar plus package may be sent to the President by early next week.
