Thune questions the pending “HEROES ACT”

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – The US House returned to Washington last week and quickly passed the “HEROES ACT,” another economic rescue plan totaling about three point three trillion dollars.

South Dakota Senator John Thune made a Senate floor speech explaining the oversight of previous emergency spending.

Thune says its time to take a pause in the massive spending.

Thune was critical of what he called unneeded extras in the HEROES act.

The bill, in its current form, is not expected to be approved in the Senate. Both Houses of Congress adjourned until sometime in June.
