WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – Following the government shutdown last month, Congress and the President agreed on a budget deal to keep the government open through the end of September.
South Dakota Senator John Thune says despite that deal, they are still working on spending bills from last year.
Thune says a two-year budget would take away a lot of the annual drama.
Thune says they need to get moving on the new spending plans.
This years deal includes over $330 billion in federal spending.
