WASHINGTON, D.C.(WNAX) – As Members of Congress debate again the next round of possible economic stimulus, South Dakota Senator John Thune warned of the rapid rise of debt related to deficit spending.
Thune, in a Senate floor speech, says that expanding debt will eventually have a big impact on the nations economy.
Thune says the bill for any stimulus plan is being sent to future generations.
Debate is centering on a so called “skinny bill” that would fund some expansion of unemployment benefits.
