WASHINGTON, D.C. (KCCR) – Congress has passed a $900 billion coronavirus relief package. South Dakota Senator John Thune says the bi-partisan deal includes protections for ag producers.
The bill also supports the ethanol industry.
Thune says the bill includes the targeted spending wanted by Republicans.
The package also includes a second round of stimulus checks. Half the size of stimulus checks earlier this year, these checks will be $600 direct payments to most Americans and children. Couples making up to $150,000 a year are eligible for $1,200 checks.
