WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – Many of the republican Senators who voted to acquit President Trump in his impeachment trial said they were worried about the precedent that would be set.
South Dakota Senator John Thune says they don’t want to make impeachment cases easier.
Following his acquittal, the President fired Alexander Vindman and Gordon Sondland, who both testified against him.
Thune says the President can decide who works for him.
Thune says every President pushes the limits on his powers.
Thune says under the constitution, the balance of power can shift from one branch to another.
