WASHINGTON, D.C. (DRG News) – South Dakota Senator John Thune has been serving as one of the state’s three members in the U.S. Congress for about 25 years.
In that time, he says he’s experienced historic events, but nothing like the current global COVID-19 pandemic and the recently passed $2.2-trillion economic recovery package.
He says there’s money going to both businesses and individuals.
Thune says we’re not going to recover from the economic hardships until we win the healthcare battle against COVID-19.
Monday, Gov. Kristi Noem issued an executive order to more forcefully tell businesses to limit group gatherings to 10, but says she will continue to allow businesses to stay open.
