SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (WNAX) – Health care professionals are telling us this is a critical year to get a flu shot.

Mark List, a family medicine physician with Avera Health in Sioux Falls, says timing is important with getting the vaccine.

List says the next couple of weeks will be peak time for a flu shot.

List says they are getting indications that the flu season may not be as severe as in past years.

List says if you come into a clinic with flu symptoms, chances are you will also be tested for COVID-19.
