BROOKINGS, S.D.(KBRK)- GOP Gubernatorial Candidate Toby Doeden is touring South Dakota. He spoke in Brookings on Monday night.
Doeden has suggested eliminating the property tax and finding alternative ways of funding state government. He says the people of South Dakota are telling him they want tax reform.
He said South Dakota — under Gov. Larry Rhoden — has become economically stagnant.
Doeden says — when it comes to economic development — small businesses deserve just as much attention as big data centers.
Doeden and Rhoden are in a runoff election for the GOP gubernatorial nomination. Election day is July 28. Toby Doeden is scheduled to speak at Mulligan’s in Aberdeen on Monday beginning at 6pm.
