YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Despite the cool temperatures, tourism season will be ramping up this month.

Jay Gravholt, Tourism Director for Yankton Thrive, says visitation has been pretty good so far this year.

Gravholt says tourism is very important to the business community.

Gravholt says visitation stayed strong during the worst of the pandemic.

Over two million visitors come through the Lewis & Clark Lake area each year.
