MILBANK, S.D.(KXLG)- The Grant County Development Corporation (GCDC) has announced the appointment of Traci Stein as its new Executive Director, effective April 24th. Stein is the fourth person to hold this position in the corporation’s 38-year history, following George Smith, Bobbie Bohlen, and Krista Atyeo-Gortmaker.
Stein’s track record includes 16 years of service in various leadership roles at the Watertown Development Company. During her tenure, she was vital in numerous housing, daycare, retail, commercial, and industrial expansion initiatives in Watertown, SD. Her collaborative approach with state and community leaders has led to impactful changes in the local economy. Stein is certified as an Economic Development Finance Professional through the National Development Council.
Traci joined the Watertown Development Company in 2008 as Director of Business Development and became Director of Marketing and Public Relations in 2015.

The GCDC is eager to support Stein’s efforts to bring about similar changes in Milbank and the greater Grant County area.
