Tremelling Breaks School Record in Pole Vault

Fargo, ND (NSUWolves.com) – Northern State University track and field competed on day two of the NDSU Bison Indoor Open meet. Men finished fourth with a team score of 50.5 points and women took ninth with 14.5 points.

MEN’S HIGHLIGHTS

  • The 60m hurdles was run by Joel Matehs and Eli Radtke they took fifth and tenth place with times of 8.31 and 8.74
  • Chris Weber had a personal record in the 60m dash with 6.97 seconds and he placed third for the Wolves
  • Drew SalfrankDrew Henriksen, and Carter Dingman all ran the open 400m race placing fifth, eighth, and tenth with times of 50.59, 51.10, and 51.21; This was a new personal record for Dingman
  • Vance Borchers took eighth in the high jump with a height of 1.85m
  • Men’s pole vault featured Sam Tremelling winning the event overall and breaking the Northern State record with a height of 5.06m
  • Noah FordEli RadtkeIsaac Ligon placed seventh, eighth, and tenth in the pole vault with heights of 4.46m, 4.31m, and 4.31m

WOMEN’S HIGHLIGHTS

  • Morgan Sheldon finished tenth in the 60m hurdles crossing the finish line in 9.33 seconds
  • Summer Carlson placed seventh in the 800m with a time of 2:20.80 and Avery Miles had a PR of 2:23.98 taking ninth place
  • Both Jordan Tschumperlin and Morgan Sheldon had marks of 1.60m in the high jump which placed them sixth and seventh respectively

BEYOND THE RESULTS

  • Sam Tremelling broke the pole vault record that was set in 2022 by Glen Quayle. His mark moves him up to eighth in the nation
  • Personal records were broken by Chris Weber (60m), Ty Kadlec (60m), Carter Dingman (400m), Elisabet Osk Jonsdottir (400m), Avery Miles (800m), and Sam Tremelling (pole vault)

UP NEXT

Wolves will be back in action on February 9th and 10th with the SDSU Classic meet. Events will start at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
