ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Retired Army Veteran Trent Dirks from Retrieving Freedom, Inc. will be the guest speaker at the 15th annual Jim River Marsh Masters event at the Dakota Event Center on Saturday April 1st.
Dirks will be sharing his story of battling PTSD following his military career which included a deployment to Afghanistan.
Dirks discuss the difficulty adjusting to civilian life following his time in the military.

Retrieving Freedom uses service dogs to help veterans dealing with PTSD & children with autism. That’s how he was introduced to his dog Tracer. Tracer literally saved Dirks’ life. He explains how.
Dirks now works for Retrieving Freedom as their Resource Development Director. This past February he had an opportunity to attend the State of the Union Address in Washington.
Dirks will be speaking on April 1st at the Dakota Event Center. He talks about how to get tickets for the event.
