PARKSTON, S.D. (Press Release) – A Tripp, S.D. man has been identified as the person who died Tuesday in a one-vehicle crash south of Parkston.
A 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe was northbound on South Dakota Highway 37 when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to roll.
Michael Cooper was the 53-year-old driver and only vehicle occupant. He was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was later pronounced dead at the Parkston hospital.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash. All information is only preliminary at this point.
The Highway Patrol is part of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
