U.S. Congressman explains no vote on government spending bill

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- A “No” vote on the government spending bill before a quick trip to South Dakota.

Texas Representative Troy Nehls spoke at the Lincoln-Reagan Dinner in Sioux Falls Sunday night.

Nehls was among the 91 “no” votes on the measure.

Nehls says the lack of any provisions to improve border security caused his no vote.

He says his district, near San Antonio, is heavily impacted by the border problems.
