U.S. House candidates address their campaigns

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)-  Candidates looking to represent South Dakota in the U.S. Congress appeared on the KSDN Midday Report.  Congressman Dusty Johnson(R) is looking to serve his fourth term while Sheryl Johnson(D) is seeking her first term.

Both candidates talks about what motivated them to run for the seat.

Both candidates discuss what they want to accomplish if elected.

Congressman Johnson’s focus is on the border and inflation.

Sheryl Johnson’s main focus is working for the middle class.

One topics Sheryl has addressed during her campaign is the belief that Dusty will use this as a platform for future aspirations beyond 2024.

Dusty responded by stating once a campaign that they are in preparations for the next election regardless of what office he or she is seeking.

Congressman Johnson talks about one of the ballot measures is addressing work requirement(Amendment F) for Medicaid expansion and whether that could apply to other programs federally.

One ballot measure that Sheryl Johnson is focusing on is Referred Law 21 and she talks about how she could apply that federally.

Both candidates addressed Amendment G(Abortion Amendment) & how that could impact federal legislation.
