Update from City Engineer on couple of projects in Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- At Monday’s Aberdeen City Council meeting, the council addressed two pay requests for projects currently in the works in Aberdeen.

City Engineer Stu Nelson talked about the first pay request dealing with the water tower project on NE 8th Avenue.

Council approved the request for payment to Dahme Consruction for over $480,000 and Landmark Structure, Inc. for almost $745,000.

The other pay request was for curb & gutter repair and getting ready for chip sealing to be done in 2026.

Mayor Travis Schaunaman took the time to thank those businesses for the playground project next to First Baptist Church on Melgaard for no additional charge.

City Council approved the request to CWF Masonry & Construction for almost $138,000 and did a change order for them for the chip sealing next year at over $117,000.
