PIERRE, S.D.(KELO)- Attorney General Marty Jackley’s proposals are receiving a warm welcome so far in the state legislature.
A legislative committee gave its unanimous endorsement yesterday of a bill to tighten internal controls to prevent fraud cases like those we’ve seen in the past year.
He has also proposed a measure to encourage state employees to report suspicious activity in their departments.
The Attorney General hopes the bills will prevent fraud instead of having to investigate and prosecute cases in the future.
