HURON, S.D.(KOKK)- Construction of the DEX, Dakota Events Complex continues.  The Department of Agriculture and the South Dakota State Fair still hope for an end of June majoy completion date.  Construction delays have had an impact on the schedule, SD State Fair manager Peggy Besch has an update.

Besch said crews are actively trying to enclose the DEX but weather as always can have a factor.

She said a lot of work needs to be done on the perimeter of the DEX.

The Dex has events scheduled before the 2023 South Dakota State Fair which runs August 31 through September 4th.
