VERMILLION, S.D.(WNAX)- Keeping the construction of the new elementary school in Vermillion on time and on budget is a challenge.
Superintendent Damon Alvey says they have had some supply issues since they broke ground last summer.
Alvey says their contractors, for the most part, are getting the materials they need when they need them.
Alvey says they are also seeing rising costs.
Voters approved a twenty six million dollars bond issue in 2021 for the project. Alvey says the school board has some contingency funds to deal with rising costs.
