SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- Gang violence may have been involved.

Sioux Falls Police say there may have been a second shooter in Friday night’s active shooter incident in the Empire Mall.

18-year old Jaden Michael Justis Bingham is jailed on a 100-thousand dollar bond.

Police Lieutenant Aaron Nyberg says it’s too soon to tell whether a second person may also have fired a weapon.

Police say two groups met in the mall by chance, and a dispute quickly escalated to gunfire.

They say it’s possible gang violence was part of what led up to that.
