Update on fire that killed two people last Tuesday

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Aberdeen Police Department has provided an update on the fire that killed two people at the 100 block of SE 8th Avenue last Tuesday.

The Police Department on their Facebook page released the following statement:

“Autopsies for both victims were completed on Friday, December 26th, 2025. The cause of the fire, as well as the identities and causes of death of the victims, are believed to be known at this time; however, the investigation remains ongoing. We are working to positively confirm the identities through forensic DNA testing and are awaiting final autopsy reports. There is no threat to the public at this time.”

Aberdeen Fire Rescue have now released the names of the two victims.  They are 64-year-old Gregory Robinson and 36-year-old Cassandra Snowshoe.  The investigation is still continuing and any further questions can be directed to Aberdeen Fire Rescue.

A GoFundMe page has been setup for Gregory Robinson by Rachel Robinson.  Rachel has confirmed that he was one of the two victims of that fire.
