PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- Bills that could direct hundreds of millions of dollars for housing development across the state have been slow to move in the South Dakota legislature.
Senate Majority Leader Gary Cammack of Union Center says they want to make sure those dollars are spread out fairly.
Cammack says they have to be careful in how and when the money goes out.
Cammack says there is strong support for the workforce housing plan.
The overall plan would spend up to two hundred million dollars in a state, local, private developer partnership.
