PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- Hunting and fishing license sales in South Dakota have been good in 2023.  Wildlife Division Director Tom Kirschenmann with the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Department says while fishing licenses sales have been steady, small game licenses are ready to pick up.

Kirschenmann says the next few weeks could set the tone for the pheasant season.

Kirschenmann says officials are noticing the impact of caps on some archery licenses by the Game, Fish and Parks, Commission.

Kirschenmann expects most licenses and habitat stamp sales to continue to increase before the end of the year.
